Eric has been in the Financial Planning profession since 1988. Always passionate about understanding and integrating the personal side of money into the advisory relationship, he developed his first Financial Plan for a client in 1981.
In 1984, he first registered as an Investment Adviser Representative (“IAR”) and received his CFP® designation in 1988. Eric has been quoted in local and national publications and was featured in a cover article in the May 2012 Financial Planning Magazine. In 2016, he, along with the other Silver Oak firm Principals, achieved the CeFT® (Certified Financial Transitionist®) designation in furtherance of the firm’s commitment to providing contextual guidance to clients going through a life transition and where financial decision-making ability is compromised.
Eric is the former President of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) of Los Angeles and created and presented, in consecutive years, sessions on leadership at the FPA Chapter Leadership Conference. He also served on the Advisory Council of OPICA, a non-profit which provides day relief to family caregivers with loved ones suffering from dementia and Alzheimer’s.
At the moment, Eric is concentrating his efforts exclusively on fostering growth in Community Relations and Business Development at Silver Oak.
Eric resides on the Westside of Los Angeles with his wife, Lisa. Their two young adult children graduated from college in 2018 and 2019 respectively, while their furry, 4 legged child, Koby, keeps them company at home.
